About Me

My photo
Susie Morrell
Susie Morrell, a contemporary American oil painter, creates original oil paintings from scenes of everyday life lived on a lake in northern Michigan. Working interchangeably with brush and palette knife, her style expresses energy and atmosphere. Susie is a member of the Thunder Bay Art Gallery in Alpena, Michigan, where she offers her original oil paintings for purchase and accepts commissions. Don't see the size you desire? Susie can recreate any of her paintings or use an image of your choice to create the size you need just ask! When asked about her source of inspiration, Susie says her heart is drawn to the places she loves on the lake and in nature. If she is not on location painting plein air, Susie can be found in her cottage studio on Hubbard Lake, MI.
